Barbara Sagara teaches classes in business communication and writing, and web design/programming. She began her WMU career teaching introductory programming and introduction to microcomputers. During her MBA studies she worked as an instructor at Davenport College’s program for displaced workers who needed computer training. Upon completing her MBA, she moved to Kalamazoo Public Schools as a technology trainer, charged with training all the district faculty and staff on computer use in the classroom and helping shape the integration of technology in the curriculum.
Sagara works with WMU's First Year Experience Program and is active in the Association for Business Communication, the National Council of Teachers of English/College Composition in Curriculum, the American Records Management Association, and the National Business Education Association. She works with various student organizations including the Dean's Student Leadership Advisory Board and volunteers in the community.
