August 2017 Activities

International and domestic students enjoy a local Tulip festival in Michigan.

International and domestic students travel each summer to enjoy Holland's Tulip Festival.

  • Blueberry Picking—Join International Student Activities in picking blueberries, a sweet summer crop in Michigan. Registration required; open to the public. 
  • End-of-Semester Party—Join International Student Activities and CELCIS for an end-of-semester celebration that includes games, food and great company. Free and open to the public.
  • International Ladies Sports Club—Bond with women from all over the world through sports and exercise. Free and open to all women in the community.

September 2017 Activities

  • Fall 2017 Welcome Party—Join International Student Activities and CELCIS for a welcome party for new international students. Free and open to the public.
  • Ice Cream Social—Join International Student Activities for free ice cream, raffles and games. Open to the public.
  • Let's go to Bronco Bash!—Join International Student Activities in exploring Bronco Bash, a huge WMU event where students can learn about different groups and programs on campus. Free and open to the public.

    Local Global Farmers Market—Browse and shop at an on-campus market that features local farmers, producers and artisans. Free and open to the public.
  • Saugatuck Trip—Join International Student Activities in traveling to Saugatuck, Michigan, a popular beach-town on Lake Michigan. Registration required; open to the public.

October 2017 Activities

  • Local Global Farmers Market—Browse and shop at an on-campus market that features local farmers, producers and artisans. Free and open to the public.
  • Parade of Flags—Get involved with the annual Parade of Flags, a colorful display of multicultural diversity on the WMU campus that precedes the WMU Homecoming football game.
  • Secretary of State Day—Meet with the Michigan Secretary of State on the WMU campus to get a driver's license or identification card or access other services. Free and open to the public. 
  • Western World Cup—Compete for the title of Western World Cup Soccer Champions! Registration required; open to the public.

November 2017 Activities

  • Chicago Trip—Join International Student Activities in traveling to Chicago, one of the largest cities in the United States. Registration required; open to the public.
  • International Education Week—Join the WMU campus in a week-long series of events and activities that celebrate our globally-engaged campus. Free and open to the public.
