Description(s):
My research focuses on the acquisition of pronunciation, more particularly that of French as a foreign/second language (L2). I look for ways in which visual feedback may help learners bridge the gap between perception and production and improve their pronunciation. One aspect of visual feedback that I look into is the visual information provided by speech analysis software; one of my goals is to find ways to simplify that information to make it available to learners not trained in speech analysis.
I am also interested in the pedagogy of pronunciation teaching, as well as the stages of development in the acquisition of L2 French pronunciation.
