This 18-21 credit hour program is intended for individuals who possess intermediate technology competencies and currently hold or are seeking employment as a school technology specialist or a school district technology coordinator. While the program deals with technical issues, the focus is on the educational - curricular and instructional - aspects of the use of information and communication technology in schools.
Students successfully completing the Education Technology Graduate Certification Program will:
Gain exposure to advanced topics in technology management issues for education.
Receive a Graduate Certificate representing 18-21 credit hours of coursework.
Develop or enhance capabilities to provide leadership for the use of technology in schools.
The mission of this program is to develop the specialized knowledge and competencies required by educators who provide school or district-wide leadership pertaining to the effective instructional use of information technology. The focus of this graduate program is on the teaching, learning, and organizational issues that promote the effective use of information technology in schools.
