The slide and CD-ROM collection is located in the Music and Dance Library, 3006 Dalton Center, 387-5237; 387-0605 (fax).
General art collection
The collection contains well-known works of art such as painting, sculpture, architecture, design, photographs, and illuminated manuscripts. It also contains slides of costume, anthropology, political science, natural history, geography, and anatomy. These images represent scenes and artifacts of the western world, Oceania, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
Medieval manuscripts
The collection includes slides of medieval manuscripts in the collections of the Bodleian Library, Oxford, and the Pierpont Morgan Library, New York.

Who may borrow slides and CD-ROMs?
Anyone with a valid WMU Bronco Card may borrow slides and CD-ROMs.
How many slides may I have at one time?
Faculty, staff, and graduate students may borrow up to160 slides at one time. Undergraduates may borrow up to 50 slides at one time.
How long may I keep the slides and CD-ROMs?
Faculty, staff, and graduate students may borrow slides for 2 weeks. Undergraduates may borrow slides for 48 hours.
How do I return slides and CD-ROMs?
Slides must be returned to the Music and Dance Library, 3006 Dalton Center, 387-5237.
How can I find out if you have a particular slide or image?
Find slides and images by searching the Libraries catalog or the WMU Image Catalog; or, you may browse the physical collection in the Music and Dance Library. If you are not able to locate a specific image, please ask for assistance from the staff.
May I view slides in the library?
The Music and Dance Library provides a Caramate for individual viewing, slide reviewing, make-up exams, and lecture preparation.
If I can't find the image in a book or printed material, can I obtain an image via the Internet?
