NIST Standard Online Reference Databases

A key source for reliable physical property and related data produced by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Available databases include Atomic Spectra, Physical Reference Data, and the NIST Chemistry WebBook (containing thermochemical, spectra and ion energetics data).

Properties of Organic Compounds Gateway

Physical property and spectral data for approximately 27,500 organic compounds. Can be used to find information about a known compound or to identify an unknown compound from given search criteria.

Produced by the NLM, TOXLINE provides information on the pharmacological biochemical, physiological and toxicological effects of drugs and other chemicals on humans and animals.

WebElements

An award-winning interactive Web site about the atomic elements. Based on the periodic table, sections for each element include general background, crystallography, isotope and spectroscopy information, plus chemical, biological, geological and electronic data.
