Full-text biographies, critical essays and reviews, poems, short stories and plays of more than 130,000 international authors. This database contains the full content of the Dictionary of Literary Biography, Contemporary Authors, and selections from Children's Literature Review, Drama Criticism, Nineteenth-Century Literature Criticism, Poetry Criticism, Twentieth-Century Literary Criticism and 11 other literary criticism series. Database has export features for Refworks, Endotes and Procite.

This database represents a range of modern and historical views on authors and their works across regions, eras and genres including:

Literature Online (LION) restricted

A full-text database of more than 350,000 works of English and American poetry, drama and prose from the year 600 to modern times, and literary criticism from over 300 journals and various reference resources. Includes biographies, bibliographies, and links to websites. The "My Archive" feature allows you to save save articles. This database also has a citation export feature into Refworks, and Endnotes. MLA International Bibliography (Modern Language Association) restricted

Indexes periodicals and series, monographs, book collections, dissertation abstracts, Festschriften (books written to honor a particular scholar), and other sources. Arts & Humanities Citation Index restricted

(Web of Science) The Arts & Humanities Citation Index is a multidisciplinary database that indexes 1,144 of the world's leading arts and humanities journals, and selected, relevant items from over 6,800 major science and social science journals. Coverage is from 1975 to the present.

ERIC restricted

The Educational Resources Information Center indexes and abstracts over 2,000 journals and more than 450,000 reports in education and related fields. Some documents are available full text, the rest are on microfiche in the Education Library. Covers 1966-present. Updated monthly.

Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts restricted

Indexes and abstracts all aspects of language study including linguistics, phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. Some of the physical and medical aspects of language are also included, such as speech pathology. About 1,500 English and foreign language sources are indexed. Coverage: 1973-present. Updated monthly.

Librarian's Comment: Complete coverage is also given to descriptive, historical, comparative, theoretical and geographical linguistics. Some of the physical and medical aspects of language are also included, such as audiology, laryngology, otology, and speech pathology. There is some overlap with the MLA Bibliography and the Web of Knowledge.

Readers' Guide Retrospective restricted

Indexes the most popular general-interest periodicals published in the United States from 1890 to 1982. Some of these periodicals published short stories and book reviews.
