E-Print Network (DOE/OSTI)

An e-print network search engine run by the Office of Scientific and Technical Information. This site allows you to search for pre-prints and some journal articles in the fields of biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, nuclear technology, mathematics and physics. Sites searched include numerous e-print servers (including arXiv), as well as institutional repositories.

NASA Technical Report Server

An online database to technical reports published by various NASA centers and programs. Full text PDFs of many NASA technical reports are available from 1958 onward. In addition, full text PDFs of reports from NASA's predecessor, the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics or NACA are available from 1917-1958.

Scientific & Technical Aerospace Reports (STAR)

This biweekly online index (in PDF format) provides the latest listings of citations and abstracts to technical reports of NASA and other aerospace research institutions. Each issue is hundreds of pages long, listing citations for engineering, aeronautical and aerospace engineering, geosciences, etc.

We also have 1963-1995 volumes of this index in the Waldo Library stacks at call number TL 500 .S35

STINET - Scientific and Technical Information Network (Defense Technical Information Center)

Provides searchable access to citations and some full-text documents in federally funded defense, aerospace, and security technology research. Be prepared for some slow downloading times.

TRAIL - Technical Report Archive & Image Library

U.S. government technical reports issued primarily prior to 1975. Currently covers materials published by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission, the U.S. National Bureau of Standards, and the U.S. Bureau of Mines.
