In the field of psychology and its related areas, statistical, descriptive, and critical handbooks and manuals are heavily utilized. These works contain a wide assortment of useful tables, recent research, tests, techniques, definitions, measures, and other factual data. A yearbook or an annual review usually has specialized chapters and research literature on key topics in the field with the topics changing each year or updated. A printed handout on general statistical handbook titles can be obtained at Central Reference, Waldo Library. Many online statistical sources can also be located through the Libraries' site.
As with dictionaries and encyclopedias, there are many specialized manuals and handbooks for different psychological interests. To locate, use a subject search in WestCat with the official heading followed by the words Handbooks, Manuals, etc.
