Michigan Population and Economic Data
The Northwest Michigan Council of Governments has prepared a series of reports for each country in Michigan. each report provides data for the country and for the minor civil divisions in the country (townships, cities, and villages).
Covers of 2600 U.S. cities with detailed information on demographics, environmental factors, economic indicators, housing statistics, media, schools, transportation, local contacts, and more.
The data presented here describe the population and economy of U.S. states and counties from 1790 to 1960. The available data differ somewhat from decade to decade, according to what was collected in the census and the items chosen for transcription to electronic form.
U.S. government census data grouped into categories such as people, business, geography, and others. Data files are available as well as prepared tables.
Part of the U.S. Census Bureau, this program attempts to cooperate with local agencies to process and provide census data. Some of the agencies listed may provide better access than through the Census Bureau.
