Early English Books Online (EEBO) restricted

Contains digital images of virtually every work printed in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and British North America and works in English printed elsewhere from 1473-1700 - from the first book printed in English by William Caxton, through the age of Spenser and Shakespeare and the tumult of the English Civil War. The collection is indexed at the British Library website. The index (in print) and images (on microfilm) are also available in Waldo Library.

EuroDocs: Primary Historical Documents from Western Europe

Hosted by Brigham Young University, this site lists primary sources for European history, arranged in two broad areas: Medieval and Renaissance, and Europe as a Supernational Region (divided by country).

Beginning with the Code of Hammurabi around 1700 BC, this volume presents documents throughout the course of history that altered, broadened, or intensified contemporary awareness at the time they came into being. Includes wonderful illustrations and facsimile reproductions.

Historical Text Archive

A useful site, maintained by Donald Mabry of Mississippi State University, that contains the full text of many historical documents from around the world. Arrangement is by country or by topics, such as women, Native Americans, Native Americans, and war. This site is especially strong in U.S. documents.
