Brick Row Nineteenth Century American Literary Criticism Collection

Brickrow Collection

This collection was purchased during the summer of 1999. It was gathered over a 10 year period by the owner of the Brick Row Book Shop, John Crichton. This collection concerns literary criticism written by Americans from 1788 to 1902. Over 250 volumes are included in this collection.

The department of Special Collections purchased this collection because it complements our other holdings such as The Carol Ann Haenicke American Women's Poetry Collection in serving the research and teaching interests of our faculty.
