The management minor is an excellent complement to any course of study at WMU because it provides the opportunity to learn and practice key teamwork and leadership skills.
Recent WMU students who graduated with a management minor earned their majors in a variety of areas such as civil engineering, interdisciplinary health services, communication studies, computer information systems, nursing, and sales and business marketing. These graduates not only have the discipline-specificl skills of their major degree fields, but also the knowledge and experience to effectively work in teams and lead others.
The three required core courses in the management minor give students a broad background in business while also providing key management knowledge and experiences that can help them succeed in any type of organization. Management minors also choose three management electives allowing them to further their management training in key areas such as business and society, human resource management and entrepreneurship.
