Dr. Thomas Scannell teaches process and operations management, purchasing, business strategy, quantitative analysis and quality management. He received his Ph.D. in Operations and Sourcing Management from Michigan State University, and his M.B.A. and B.S. Electrical Engineering from WMU. His publications have appeared in Decision Sciences Journal, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Business Logistics, Sloan Management Review, Journal of Supply Chain Management and Journal of Product Innovation Management. He is co-author of a book regarding supplier integration into new product development, and has published industry reports with CAPS Research regarding innovation. Scannell helped establish the Supply Chain Management Council of West Michigan. His eleven years of industry experience include electronics design engineer, systems engineer, program/project manager and new product development manager.
