Barry R Smith J.D. teaches courses in Human Resources Management and Labor/Management Relations.

Smith has practiced employment law exclusively during his career, representing management in most industries including manufacturing, health care, retail, construction, aviation, transportation, agriculture, public employment and education. He has also regularly represented both plaintiffs and defendants in civil rights and employment contract disputes. He has been admitted to practice and served clients in Michigan, Illinois and California and in many Federal trial and appellate courts. He currently also serves as a Facilitative Mediator for cases in both State and Federal Courts and as a Grievance and Interest Arbitrator covering union contract disputes.
