Xiaodan “Abby” Wang teaches strategic management. Her primary research interests include venture capital (VC) firms’ influence on entrepreneurial start-ups’ strategy and performance, internationalization of VC firms, entrepreneurship in emerging/transition economies, and new ventures’ alliance strategies. Her' research into venture capital-based IPOs and underpricing has received the Best Doctoral Student Paper Award and the Best Paper Award and been included in the Best Paper Proceedings of national academic conferences such as Academy of Management annual meeting and Southern Management Association annual meeting. Prior to joining WMU in 2011, she taught at Texas Tech University, where she was an AT&T Chancellor’s Fellow while completing her Ph.D. in Management.
