Dr. Betty Parker's research interests include the public policy aspects of marketing communications and internet marketing. Her research has been published in academic journals such as the Journal of Advertising, the Journal of Advertising Education and the Journal of Promotion Management. She has taught 11 different undergraduate and graduate marketing courses, including Internet Marketing, Media Planning, Customer-Driven Marketing Management and Integrated Marketing Communications Campaigns. She often includes working with local clients and marketing competitions in her courses. Student class projects have been awarded 1st place honors in 3 national marketing competitions.
Prior to joining WMU, Parker taught at Bradley University and the University of Missouri and held managerial positions in international marketing and corporate strategic planning.
