David MacDonald is an industrial/organizational psychologist who has specialized in teaching graduate courses in organizational behavior, needs analysis, performance management, and instructional design. From 1983 - 1995, he taught in the Master of Management program at Aquinas College.

His professional thinking has appeared in the International Journal of Selection and Assessment, Behavioral Sciences Newsletter, The Journal of California Law Enforcement, Personnel Journal, Public Personnel Management, Training, Technical and Skills Training, and Training and Development Journal. He has presented thoughts and research in many settings, including at several annual sessions of the International Congress on Assessment Center Methods (Boston, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and Tampa) and at sessions of The Conference Board (Atlanta and Chicago) as well as the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). From 1999 - 2004 he chaired the International Task Force on Assessment Center Guidelines.
