Increase your earning potential

The decision to earn an MBA is a big one, both in terms of time and money. It is important to consider whether you will get enough return on your investment (ROI) to make the sacrifice worth it. ROI can be measured in many ways—new career options, a sense of security, the value of the network, compensation and more.

The Graduate Management Admission Council surveys alumni from graduate management programs (including WMU's MBA program) annually. The January 2012 report shows a stellar ROI, finding that graduates recouped one-third of the financial investment in their degree within the first year after graduation, and 100 percent four years out. While there’s no guarantee many students experience substantial salary and bonus increases as a result of the program.

Learn from the Best

MBA courses are taught by leading Ph.D. faculty with industry experience who are engaged in international research and the support of regional business activities. Ongoing faculty research activities and strong community business connections ensure that students receive the latest information on business topics and also have access to a strong network of business connections. The expertise that MBA students bring to the classroom results in engaging classroom discussions and interactions that assist students in developing a strong network of professional contacts.

WMU MBA students explore their goals with vigor and faculty are right there with them—every step of the way. Industry experts serve as guest lecturers, bringing relevant business practices and research projects to WMU MBA students.

Adept at research and instruction, WMU's faculty provide a transformative learning experience. WMU MBA faculty embrace cross disciplinary learning practices that encourage the solving of real-world problems and envisioning of cutting-edge research questions, application of new ideas to conventional teaching methods and business models, taking risks, and nurturing these same characteristics in their students. The result: students who gain new knowledge, know how to think critically and solve complex problems, make bold decisions, and implement cutting edge business practices.
