2012 Medallion Scholarship Program

A Medallion competition has never been cancelled, but there is a policy in place to address severe weather conditions in the Kalamazoo area. If we must cancel the program a decision will be made by 5:00 a.m. EST on the day of the event. A message will be available on this page and the Office of Admissions' voice mail (269) 387-2000 and the University's Information line at (269) 387-1001. Radio and television stations in the southwest Michigan viewing area will also be alerted.

The 2012 Medallion Competition will take place on Western Michigan University’s campus on Saturday, January 21 and Saturday, January 28, 2012.

Medallion Scholarship Competition invitations have been mailed.

Registration is REQUIRED in order to compete for the 2012 Medallion Scholarship! See your invitation for registration instructions.

Student Schedule

8 - 8:45am	Check-in at the Bernhard Center on WMU's campus.
9 - 9:30am	Welcome
9:30 - 1:05pm	Competition (essay writing, group problem solving activity, Lee Honors College presentation, academic presentation)
1:05pm	Lunch with WMU students, faculty, and staff
1:30 - 3pm	Optional Tours and Academic Showcase

Parent Schedule
