to a Machine Table1

The Type 9256A Kistler 3-Component Dynamometer is screwed onto the machine table of a machine tool to measure the machining forces in the X, Y, and Z directions as shown above. The workpiece to be machined is fixed to the cover plate. A Type 5010 Dual Mode Charge Amplifier, shown below, is used to transfer the signal to the computer using a DynoWare - data acquisition software to display results1.
