The Zeiss Axiovert 100M Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy uses a laser light beam to make optimal use of the optics in the objective. By using a confocal pinhole, out-of-focus information (both above and below the focal plane) is greatly reduced. The Zeiss Axiovert 100M inverted confocal is equipped with 3 filter sets for simultaneous or individual viewing of up to three fluorescent channels. The scope is also equipped with a transmitted light source which can be viewed alone or in concert with fluorescence. Samples can be captured as individual "slices", Z-stacks or 3D rotating animations depending on your specific requirements1.
