Eligibility & Orientation

• Recipients of the Diversity and Multculturalism Scholarship and the Incentive Scholarship Program awards are eligible for participation in the Academy, and are admitted to the program through The Office of Admissions and Orientation.
• Freshman students who wish to enroll in the Academy and have a high school grade point average of 3.0 or better are eligible to attend by filling out an application no later than September 14.
• All program students must attend a WMU Orientation and one of the following MLK Orientations where students will have an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the Academy:
  
  
  • Session 7  G  June 15 -16
  • Session 8  H  June 16 - 17
  • Session 9  I   June 18 – 19


• Students are also required to attend Fall Welcome Week in August. Register here.
