Information for Parents

As a college student, your child has a wide and diverse range of interests, needs, and goals. College offers many rewards and challenges for your child. It is important that they have the right information so that they can get the most out of their college experience. This web page provides helpful information and links that college students can use to enhance their academic success and preparation for life after college.

If this is your first visit, please take a moment to browse through the pages and acquaint yourself with the many services and resources designed to enhance your child's education and college experience. We would like to welcome you into the WMU family and as a partner in your child's intellectual, cultural, professional, and personal growth during your child's college experience.

We urge you to encourage your child to take advantage of the academic support services that we provide free of charge to all students. Students can start preparing for classes even before the semester starts! More information on the availability of services are available here.

If you need further assistance, please contact the STEM Director, Ms. Vunsin Hiew Doubblestein, at (269) 387-3316 or at vunsin.h.doubblestein@wmich.edu. Feel free to also stop by the STEM Program Office in the Division of Mulcultural Affairs at 2285 Ellsworth Hall.

We look forward to being a partner in your child's education!
