Pre-Concert

Please join us for “Words Before Music”, our pre-concert talks presented by WMUK announcer Cara Lieurance. These talks will begin selected concerts with brief stories and history behind the music and musicians. We know you will enjoy these informal, free features.

Cara Lieurance is an announcer/producer at WMUK, Western Michigan University's national public radio station, 102.1 FM. She hosts a daily classical music show and In Concert!, a weekly program of performances by local and visiting artists, recorded in west Michigan. A flute player, she has a BA in music and communication from WMU. Ms. Lieurance performs in the Celtic group Whiskey Before Breakfast, and the classical flute duo Silver Lining.
