Recent Student Highlights
- Two students selected as Gilmore International Keyboard Festival Fellows, performing in masterclasses during the 2008 Festival.
- Fall 2007 performance of J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations, with 27 of our piano majors taking a variation (or two) for an inspiring joint performance at a Convocation recital at the School of Music.
- Performance of duos and quartets by four performance majors at the 2006 MMTA state convention.
- MTNA student chapter hosts annual Super Solo Saturday, an adjudicated event for pre-college piano students, and Audition Prep Day of workshops to prepare high school musicians for college auditions.
- WMU students invited to perform in established summer concert series in Saugutuck, MI and Three Rivers and Kalamazoo, MI.
- WMU piano students accepted into graduate programs at University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of South Carolina, University of Southern California, University of Nebraska, University of Oregon, University of Michigan and Roosevelt University.
