Myronn Hardy was born in Michigan and earned a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Michigan. He has recently completed an M.F.A. degree in Fiction at Columbia University's School of Arts in Writing. In 1998, he spent a year in South Africa transcribing apartheid and post-apartheid narratives and has presented his research at the University of Havana and the University of Guantanamo. He is currently working on a novel. His poems have been published in Third Coast, Many Mountains Moving, The Black Scholar, Callaloo, and in the anthology Testimony (Beacon Press). He currently lives in New York City.
