KALAMAZOO--The Western Michigan University Board of Trustees is scheduled to elect its chair and vice chair for 2012 during a Wednesday, Feb. 29, meeting on campus.
Convening at 11 a.m. in Rooms 157-159 of the Bernhard Center, the board also will consider a recommendation to authorize a new international partnership policy that would allow the administration to make tuition adjustments, within specified guidelines, for international partners that guarantee the enrollment of multiple groups of undergraduate or graduate students over a period of time.
Also on the agenda are reports on operations at the campus power plant as well as on operating cash accounts and annuity and life income funds. In addition, board discussion topics will include plans for a central campus pedestrian mall that will be constructed this summer. The mall will be in front of the new Sangren Hall, which will be completed for the start of the fall 2012 semester.
Trustees also will hear and be asked to consent to reports covering personnel moves, receipt of gifts and grants, academic program changes and authorization to confer degrees in 2012.
