WMU alumna performs 20th-century flute masterpieces

KALAMAZOO—Western Michigan University alumna Mira Shifrin will perform a concert of 20th-century flute music at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 18, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall.

The concert is open to the public free of charge and will include works by Paul Hindemith, Michael Colquhoun, Andre Jolivet, Olivier Messiaen, Lowell Liebermann and Ian Clarke. Shifrin will be assisted by Helen Lukan on piano.
