William "Bill" Granet, a former Western Michigan University staff member, died Aug. 15 in Columbus, Ohio. He was 90.
Granet came to WMU in 1970 as manager of computer applications in the University Computing Center and retired in 1985 after 14-1/2 years of service to the University.
He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Portland and a master's degree in mathematics from Columbia University and worked in Boston; Stillwater, Okla.; and Detroit before settling in Kalamazoo for more than 34 years.
