KALAMAZOO—The Kalamazoo Film Society will present "Quartet" Friday through Sunday, May 10-12, at Western Michigan University's Little Theatre.

Show times are 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday; 4:30, 7 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday; and 2:30, 5 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5.

Residential life in a home for retired musicians is shaken up by the arrival of Jean, played by Maggie Smith. Once a member of a quartet and the ex-wife of one of the residents, Jean went on to stardom as a solo act. Her appearance—and ego—open old wounds, but also bring a new challenge. Can the group reunite to perform a charity concert?

Also starring Billy Connolly, Tom Courtenay and Michael Gambon, "Quartet" is rated PG-13 for some strong language and suggestive humor, and has a run time of 97 minutes. The film is Dustin Hoffman's directorial debut.
