In Big Band history, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra is recognized as one of the best all-around big bands. It could swing with the best of them, and no other band could come close to Tommy's when it came to playing ballads.

The late Buddy Morrow became conductor of The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra in the 1970s and continued for decades. The One and Only Tommy Dorsey Orchestra is now conducted by Terry Myers, a world-renowned clarinet and saxophone player whose leadership qualities and talent Buddy long admired.
