Ragtime is an epic and nostalgic tale that paints a powerful portrait of American life during the turn of the 20th century. Based on the 1975 novel by E.L. Doctorow, this uplifting musical journey portrays a young America in its quest for freedom.

The original Broadway production starred WMU theatre alumna Marin Mazzie in the character of “Mother,” a performance for which she received a Tony Award nomination.

Directed by Jay Berkow with Stage Manager Rebecca Levy, the all-student cast includes Nick Angel, Chuckie Benson, Austin Bluhm, Joe Cavaiani, Eddie Coleman, Elijah Curry, Troy Dill-Reese, Carrie Drummond, Sara Geist, Kellie Goddard, Elise Harrigan, Katie Hume, Ellen Jenders, Lauren Kerbs, Mallory King, Este’Fan Kizer, Mathew Kurzyniec, Kasady Kwiatkowska, Hayden Lane-Davies, Elliot Litherland, Ana Martinez, Nicky Mendelsohn, James Murray, Ashley Owens, Brooke Paprtiz, Mike Perlongo, Tia Pinson, Lindsay Powers, Blake Price, Mikael Ragel Wilson, Joseph Sammour, Shane Schmidt, Joey Simon, Jada Thrash, Brittani Trevarrow, Kianee Trevillion, Todd Tuchek, Kevin Watson and Demi Zaino.

Graduating music theatre performance majors will give free performances following the shows Nov. 15, 16, 22 and 23.
