KALAMAZOO—The first 2014 meeting of the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees is slated to take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, in 157-159 Bernhard Center.
The major order of business for the meeting will be the election of board officers, including a chair and vice chair, who will lead the WMU governing body for the year. Additional meeting dates for 2014 also are expected to be set at the Jan. 22 meeting.
Other agenda items to be taken up include reports covering gifts, grants and personnel moves as well as recommendations on changes to academic programs and the authorization to confer degrees in 2014.
