Directed by Calvin College Professor of Theatre Stephanie Sandberg and WMU Professor of Theatre Dwandra Nikole Lampkin, and with support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, "Check Your Privilege" has been created from dozens of interviews with people in the WMU campus community. The script was written verbatim from these interviews and allows the audience to hear the words of University students, staff and faculty.

The WMU Department of Theatre is honored to be a contributor to the success of the Kellogg Grant for Racial Healing through the integration of the arts. The work is community-based action research intended to deepen audiences' understanding of racial inequality and consider actions to intervene in and mitigate its impact.
