Western Student Association elections approaching

Voting opens at 8 a.m. Monday, March 23.

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—With the end of the spring semester approaching, students at Western Michigan University will have an opportunity to vote for the future leadership of the Western Student Association as well as a proposed increase of the Student Assessment Fee.

The 2015 student body elections will begin at 8 a.m. Monday, March 23, and run through 4 p.m. Friday, March 27.

On the ballot

This year's ballot includes two slates for president and vice president of the Western Student Association as well as a referendum.

The two slates are:

  • Andrew Graeber, president, running with Peter Littlefield, vice president.
  • Connor Smith, president, running with Thye Fischman, vice President.

The referendum on the ballot deals with the proposed increase of the Student Assessment Fee by $16 to fund the Campus Activities Board, Graduate Student Association, Sports Club Council, Western Student Association Allocations and Western Student Association.
