Sharon Flickinger, a former Western Michigan University staff member, died June 3. She was 71.
Flickinger, of Schoolcraft, Michigan, joined the WMU staff in 1970 and retired in 2002 after 32 years of service to the University. She was a word processor operator for Extended University Programs.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Flickinger, who also is a former WMU staff member. He worked as a skills trade helper in the Physical Plant for 14 years from 1993 to 2007.
Services were held, and a private burial will take place at a later date.
