English as a Second Language (ESL) Graduate Certificate Program

  • Tuition funding up to $10,300 plus books
  • Online Certificate Program (24 credits) – only two additional classes required for MA TESOL
  • Funded by U.S. Department of Education N.P.D. Grant for ESL
  • Graduates are eligible for MDE’s ESL Endorsement
  • Deadlines for applications due April 15 each year 2017 - 2022
  • Cohorts begin classes July/Summer II each year 2017 - 2022

 

English as a Second Language (ESL) Undergraduate Courses (9 credits)

  • Three ESL classes (9 credits) funded by U.S. Department of Education N.P.D. Grant for ESL at WMU
  • Deadlines for applications:
    • Due November 1, 2018 for January/Spring 2019 Cohort
    • Due November 1, 2019 for January/Spring 2020 Cohort
    • No cohort beginning Spring 2021
    • Due November 1, 2021 for January/Spring 2022 Cohort 

 

Scholarships

Homer J. Carter Graduate Scholarship in Reading

  • Enrolled in master's program in Literacy Studies
  • Must hold and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Students must be dedicated to serving their students and the community through their commitment to literacy education
  • Apply by April 15
