Physics Minors

Students at work in physics laboratory

The Department of Physics at Western Michigan University offers two minors:

  • The minor in physics requires a minimum of 21 credit hours of physics courses.
  • The astronomy minor is designed to mesh well with the physics major but is open to any student who can meet the prerequisites and complete 15 to19 credit hours of required courses.

We encourage interested students to consult with the physics undergraduate advisor for more information.
