The Student Recreation Center is the largest activity space of all Mid-American Conference schools. It consists of 240,000 square feet of recreational space and offices for University Recreation and the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department.

The SRC strives to provide plenty of open recreation and programmable space for students, faculty, staff and members. Scheduling of open recreation spaces is done on a priority basis that has the least negative impact on the WMU population as possible.

Some areas that are reserved on a daily basis include:

  • Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    - HPER Classes in 3rd floor gym, multipurpose gyms, climbing wall, aerobics studio and indoor tennis courts
  • Sunday Noon to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday 6 to 10 p.m.
    - different areas are reserved for IM sports play depending on the current season including 1st and 3rd floor courts, multipurpose gyms and indoor tennis courts
