Registrar’s Notes – June 16, 2014

2014-2015 Tuition

At the June 10 meeting, the WMU Board of Trustees approved a recommendation to increase tuition and required fees for 2014-15 by 3.2 percent. The new rates are available on the Registrar’s Office website. In addition, the cost of attendance calculator has been updated to reflect the 2014-2015 rates.

June Commencement RSVP

There are just a few days left for June 2014 graduates to RSVP for the commencement ceremony. Graduates planning to attend need to reserve their tickets no later than Wednesday, June 18. The RSVP form can be found in GoWMU. Reserved tickets can be picked up in the WMU Bookstore at Textbook Alley. If available, two additional tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 10 a.m., Friday June 27 at the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office.

Not Attending

Are you aware that a comment is placed on the student’s record in Banner when an instructor reports a student as not attending? As soon as the instructor submits the not attending form in GoWMU, a comment is automatically placed on the student’s SGASTDN screen. The information can be found on the “comments” tab and includes the term and course reported. In addition, Cognos report REG:Not Attending/Not Registered:001 will allow you to identify all students for a particular term that have been reported as not attending.

Registrar Notes Survey

A survey will be sent out soon asking for feedback on the Registrar Notes. We are looking for input on the frequency they should be sent and on the topics covered. Please take a moment to respond to the survey when it arrives. Your responses will help us ensure that the Registrar Notes are meeting your needs.
