Enrollment verifications for the current term are available on GoWMU following the end of the drop and add period.
Enrollment Verification
serves as documentation that a student is currently enrolled at the University for a particular semester(s) as a full-time, half-time, or less than half-time student. This form is frequently requested to prove enrollment for loan deferments, for employers, or for verifying student status to insurance companies.

Students
Fall/Spring
Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours to be considered full time and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in order to be half time. Enrollment in 1-5 hours is considered less than half time.
Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours to be considered full time and enrolled in at least 3 credit hours in order to be half time. Enrollment in 1-2 hours is considered less than half time.
Summer I/Summer II
Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours to be considered full time and enrolled in at least 3 credit hours in order to be half time. Enrollment in 1-2 hours is considered less than half time.
Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours to be considered full time and enrolled in at least 2 credit hours in order to be half time. Enrollment in 1 credit hour is considered less than half time.
Online enrollment verification is available for students with an active Bronco NetID. To get a copy of the enrollment certificate follow these steps:
- login to GoWMU using your Bronco NetID
- click on Enrollment Verification Certificate under Academic Services on the My Self Service tab
Enrollment Certifications can also be obtained through the Office of the Registrar in person, with picture identification.
Third parties
Western Michigan University has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to provide enrollment and degree verification after 1984.
