Two-Year Scholarships
Minimum Requirements
- 2.5 College GPA
- United States citizen
- Under 27 years old at college graduation
- Pass a medical examination
- Pass a physical fitness test
- No civil convictions or arrests
- Able and willing to serve in the Active Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard
- Have placement credit or academic credit for the first two years of ROTC
- Completion of Basic Combat Training or the ROTC Leaders Training Course
SELECTION CRITERIA
- College academic standing
- Extracurricular, leadership and athletic activities
- Personal interview and APFT (Army Physical Fitness Test)
FINANCIAL BENEFITS
- Full annual tuition
- $1200 per year for books and supplies
- $450-500 per month non-taxable subsistence allowance ($4,500-5,000 Jr and Sr year)
- Additionally, you will be eligible for $3000 on-campus room and board assistance from WMU
Commitments
- Agree to complete your degree and maintain a 2.0 overall GPA and a 2.0 GPA in military science
- Take one ROTC class per semester
- Attend physical training three times per week
- Attend field training one weekend per semester
- Contract with the U.S. government to complete your degree and accept a commission in the Active Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard
