Selection Criteria

Two-Year Scholarships

Minimum Requirements

  • 2.5 College GPA
  • United States citizen
  • Under 27 years old at college graduation
  • Pass a medical examination
  • Pass a physical fitness test
  • No civil convictions or arrests
  • Able and willing to serve in the Active Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard
  • Have placement credit or academic credit for the first two years of ROTC
  • Completion of Basic Combat Training or the ROTC Leaders Training Course
SELECTION CRITERIA
  • College academic standing
  • Extracurricular, leadership and athletic activities
  • Personal interview and APFT (Army Physical Fitness Test)
FINANCIAL BENEFITS
  • Full annual tuition
  • $1200 per year for books and supplies
  • $450-500 per month non-taxable subsistence allowance ($4,500-5,000 Jr and Sr year)
  • Additionally, you will be eligible for $3000 on-campus room and board assistance from WMU

Commitments

  • Agree to complete your degree and maintain a 2.0 overall GPA and a 2.0 GPA in military science
  • Take one ROTC class per semester
  • Attend physical training three times per week
  • Attend field training one weekend per semester
  • Contract with the U.S. government to complete your degree and accept a commission in the Active Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard
