Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development

The ASCD has a more individual focus. You can take virtual PD classes or register for actual classes.
These classes cover a variety of specific topics in educational reform. This site also has a database of

Coalition of Essential Schools

The Coalition of Essential schools is an organization that focuses on the growth of schools. They have designed
a set of common principles that are meant to guide the school in setting priorities and designing practice,
as each school develops its own programs, suited to its particular students, faculty, and community. The CES
site has a list of activities and programs that participating school districts can take part in.
Michigan Science Teachers Association

MSTA is recognized as the leadership and advocacy group for science education, and has impact on state policy that
prepare the students of Michigan to become scientifically literate caring citizens now, and in the future.
