Andrew knows what he wants. As a camp counselor, he knows without a doubt he has a passion to make a difference one kid at a time, and he also knows Western Michigan University is going to help him take that to the next level.
“The education program here is one of the top five in the country,” Andrew says. “I’m also looking forward to Western’s huge study-abroad program.”
With his mathematics major and double minor in English and German, Andrew will be prepared to teach advanced algebra in the United States or, more ideally, teach English as a second language in Austria or Germany.
While he’s working toward that, you might be able to find him on the tennis courts or as part of the Gospel choir. He plans to be involved at Western.
How tough was it for Andrew to choose WMU? Let’s put it this way: winning the coveted Medallion Scholarship was just a bonus-he was going to attend anyway.
