What does it take to start a car company these days? At least three things: an innovative idea, a solid plan and a passion for the industry. Baxter brings all those qualities to WMU’s mechanical-engineering department.
This doesn’t mean he’s going to give up on writing, another discipline for which he has a passion. He hasn’t yet added a journalism minor, but is considering it to help prepare him for the potential career of automotive journalist.
“The schoolwork is good,” Baxter says of Western. “It’s rigorous enough but not impossible.”
Baxter spends some spare time with the Formula Car on campus in addition to taking in everything he can around him. He loves all the different people and activities available to Broncos. “The campus is very diverse,” he says.
