Brett is a leader. For a long time, he’s known he wants to be a teacher and a football coach. Western’s reputation as a teaching school led him to the campus, where he realized it was the perfect environment for him.
On top of his major in secondary education with an emphasis on chemistry, Brett plans to get a physical-education minor on his way to teaching high-school chemistry or PE and coaching the football team.
“This is just the beginning,” says Brett, “and it’s going to be a great four years.”
That positive attitude shouldn't shock anyone who knows Brett, who credits great parents, teachers and other role models for inspiring him to want to be the same. As Brett says, if he could impact one kid who goes on to impact the entire world—that’s a good thing.
