Courtney has always been very dedicated to education. If you don’t believe it, check Waverly High School’s 2010 list of graduates—she’ll be at the top as valedictorian. Because of this, it’s no surprise she sought a college that could challenge her.
“I wanted a college that was as serious about education as I was,” Courtney says. And she found it in Western.
In high school, Courtney particularly loved biology and chemistry. At WMU, she’s combining the two and entering the biochemistry program through Lee Honors College. Aside from her interest in the subject matter, Courtney is excited about the endless career possibilities she can chase with a biochemistry degree.
Not too big and not too small, Western is the right place for Courtney to get the skills she needs to succeed in whatever field she chooses. Plus, she’s excited to meet new people and create some life-long relationships that go beyond degrees and careers.
