Hannah loves her hometown and wants to dedicate her life to improving things for the many foster children in Kalkaska, Michigan. First stop: Western Michigan University.
Here, Hannah is majoring in public relations with a minor in political science. After graduation, she wants to go to law school and set herself up to return home with everything she needs to make a difference.
She’s very complimentary of WMU’s professors, and with good reason. When she was ill for a bit, her professors made sure she didn’t fall behind in any classes and genuinely showed care for her. That’s not something she expected, but it’s definitely something she appreciated.
When it came to selecting a college, it came down to something similar. “Western cared,” she says.
