Jack talked to at least 20 Bronco alumni before choosing to attend, and nobody had anything bad to say. He took that as a good sign. Combine that with the quality of the professors and his spot on the football team, and Western seems like the obvious choice.

One might call Jack a history buff. Not necessarily the kind who rattles off facts incessantly, but rather one who can't learn enough-he always has to know how and why things happened. He loves learning about the past and how those events shape the present.

His favorite area of history, when pressed to answer, is European history around the French revolution, but really, whatever period is being discussed is his favorite at that moment.

Ultimately, he'd like to put all this into a career as a college professor or an area of law dealing with history. He says studying history can make him a better person. "You can advance life with history more than anything else," he says.
